Dagfinn comes from Fon in Ramnes, a county which has been the home of international musicians such as Aqua-Lene, Bente Bø and Linda Kvam.

Dagfinn soon discovered the piano when he was young, and when his mother was tired of hearing him try out this instrument, she sent him to a piano school when he was 7. He was in his first music competition at the age of 8, and he just kept going from there. His real debut on the piano came when Dagfinn was 13 and wanted to learn "Für Elise" by heart, in order to do well on a test in school. After doing so, Dagfinn realized that music was all he wanted to do in the future, and since then has studied music in different schools, played in several bands and he has also been musical director for a few theatre plays.

Dagfinn is a real party maker and will play with his elbows if the situation calls for it, but he has not yet set any pianos on fire. It must also be said that Dagfinn is a multi instrumentalist, and can play the guitar, harmonica and cornet. He often plays well-known classics in his own improvised way, but he can also play them as close to the original as possible. Dagfinn can play any kind of music, but tends to keep a certain distance to jazz oriented tunes.
