Ianco is born in Romania and he started playing the piano when he was only three years old.

He went to a music school as a six-year-old, where piano was one of the subjects. In comprehensive school the oboe was included as a subject as well as piano. He went to university in 1996, and after five years he came to Norway to begin his career as a piano entertainer.

He has a vast repertoire spanning all the common genres. Ianco prefers up-tempo songs with a good beat, but he also plays well known ballads if the audience asks for it.
