André started showing interest in pianos and keyboards already at the age of five. When he was only 14 years old, he had had his first paid gig. He was then 20 years younger than all the other band members and he had to have a special permission from his parents before he was allowed to play in the clubs.

Since then there has hardly been a week-end without a gig. Either alone, as a duo or with a band, up to ten men strong. He started first as a keyboardist/pianist, but soon expanded his musical area to include singing. He has therefore acquired a vast repertoire over the years, including a variety of genres. Pop, rock, blues, funk, disco, musicals, church music… You name it! André has also worked as a choir instructor for several choirs since 1991 and is therefore used to encourage people to sing along. This is a useful skill for a piano entertainer.

In 1998 he moved to Oslo and went to Nordisk Institutt for Scene og Studio (NISS, musical education). After ending his education there, André has made a living as a full time musician, for instance as a theatre supervisor, work with musicals etc. Today he works as keyboardist for the (in)famous Norwegian singer Jahn Teigen, and as a musician in Teigen Studios AS in addition to being a piano entertainer.
