Kjetil Grodås grew up in a family with musical traditions. His father was an opera singer and his mother was a choir conductor. Kjetil started playing the organ and singing in a choir when he was a little boy, but he soon traded in the organ for piano and keyboards. I addition, Kjetil has been playing the trumpet since he was very young.
Kjetil soon came to like Elton John's music, which he has studied thoroughly. By now he plays more or less all of Elton John's tunes. Kjetil is a sporty guy who among other sports has played professional volleyball and professional soccer before he decided to be a full-time piano entertainer. What Kjetil likes the most about pianobars, is to be the one to make the people in there to go crazy.
Nothing happens on accident when Kjetil is playing. The sound quality is most important to him, and he makes great demands on the equipment he is using. Kjetil doesn't end his preparations before he achieves just the sound he wants.
Kjetil has a vast repertoire and he also plays quite a few Norwegian songs. He uses a bass keyboard and a drum machine, and with his versatile, powerful voice on top of that, it shouldn't be necessary to tell you that it sounds great.
