Olav Ajer is a model '66 who started playing at the age of five. He has worked with choirs (gospel and so on) and went on the road only 16 years old. Olav played in Stephen Achles' band for one year, and several other bands have followed later on.

His solo career started when Olav was 20, and since then he has travelled all over the country as a piano entertainer. You will always find Olav in Notodden during the annual blues festival there, and he has also been to many blues-cruises.

For one year Olav toured as one half of a duo, with the American Paul Gannon. Olav playes the piano and sings without any extra equipment such as sequenser or drum machines.
