Ovi is by now a very popular piano entertainer in Norway. He masters a vast repertoire that spans from the classic pop songs to the latest chart hits. Combine that with a professional sounding act and attitude and you'll have a true quality piano entertainer in the house. At all times!
Ovi is one of the few piano entertainers that not only succeeded in the last 11 years to be a high standard pianobar artist but who also managed to cross the line into the top level of music industry as an artist and composer.
He is already a known figure for the Norwegian public and abroad. His famous performances range from 2006 in the Eurovision song contest with "The better side of me", to 2009 with "7 seconds" which got him directly to the final together with Alexander Rybak. The same year Ovi won two musical prizes; the “audience price” as well as the “bronze trophy” at the Golden Stag, Europe’s biggest music festival after Eurosong.
Last but not least, in 2010 he won the Eurovision national final in Romania together with Paula Seling and after a marathon international promo tour in 2010 they end up on the 3rd place in Oslo, in the international stage of the competition, with his own composition "Playing with fire".
During 2010 and 2011, Ovi has appeared in numerous radio and TV shows, such as "Sommeråpent" on NRK, "God morgen Norge" and the prestigious "Momarkedet" on TV2, Beat for Beat on NRK, to name a few.
At the same time it's not a secret anymore that his achievement in Eurovision 2010 made him a star in his native country also, Romania. The amount of appearances on radio and TV shows are huge. Just to name one, Ovi acted as a TV host and performing artist during the entire new year's eve on the Eurovision final 2011, on TVR.
A new version of Ovi’s album “This Gig Almost Got Me Killed”, that includes the EV hit song was released in June 2010 in stores across Norway and on iTunes. He also received a lot of publicity when it was decided that one of his songs would be featured in the famous Brazilian TV-series “Caminho das Indias”. The song ended up on a compilation with artists such as Beyoncé, Pink and Kings of Leon among others.
