Luddy Samms

Born in the USA, but based in London since he arrived in the sixties, and with a foundation in the classic Soul music of the era as defined by the Atlantic/Stax/Volt and Tamla labels, Luddy has worked alongside some of the greatest such as James Brown and Otis Redding.

Luddy and his band "Back to Basics", with their hard driving rhythm section and punchy brass line-up which includes Richard Sadler and Richard Wargent, who have in the last few years had chart success themselves under the guise of "Down to the Bone", also known as "Project", are one of the most popular bands on the club circuit in London today.
